At the end of the dinner, the mic was passed around to every dental student for them to tell where they were from, who their signigicant other was, and what they would be doing after graduation. It was a bit surreal to realize that in a few short weeks Brant will be finished with school forever! And somewhat sad to realize that in less than 2 months some of our friends will be moving to other states.
Haynies, Trammells, Gentrys, and Reids
On Friday, Brant's parents came to town so that we could celebrate "Family Day" for UABSOD. It was hosted by the SGA at The Club. We have been to several wedding receptions at The Club, but it never fails, I always fall in love all over again with the view that overlooks the city of Birmingham!
It was so nice to spend the day with "Big Daddy & Nina" and celebrate Brant's accomplishments over the past 4 years. As most of you know, Brant isn't one to boast of himself, but I would like to take a minute to brag on him.
Back in August, he was chosen to be a representative for the UABSOD Japan Exchange program that takes place every year. The group should have gone to Japan in March for 10 days, but because of the recent devasation in Japan they had to cancel the trip. While at the luncheon on Friday, the associate dean of students was able to tell Brant's parents why he was one of the ones selected to go. He said that all of the professors/faculty voted on the students and looked for students that would be true ambassadors for the UABSOD. Brant, along with 11 others, were selected for the trip.
Brant truly is a selfless person. One of the many reasons that I fell in love with Brant is because he truly cares about others. He is always putting others before himself and making sure everyone is taken care of. He is an amazing husband and is always willing to help me out around the house. To say that I am proud of Brant is an understatment! But, if you think I'm proud of him, you should talk to Nina about how proud she is!

Sweet! Brant is a great guy! Congrats Brant!
